There is lots going on at the moment about the 2020 census and the citizenship question.
As someone who was a non-citizen for a lot longer than I have been a citizen, I don't see the problem. I realize that our glorious leader and his minions think that this will trap loads of illegals, but I don't see that happening.
Correct me if I am wrong, but it seems that the disputed question is "what is your citizenship?" In 2010, I would have answered British. And....... Would I have been deported? No.
You are not being asked to supply your green card number. You are not disclosing whether you have legal documents or not. You are simply stating your citizenship.
Is ICE really going to turn up on the doorstep of every single respondent who puts something other than US? Isn't the census anonymous? How would they know where to go? What am I missing?
